It is now a requirement under the National Certification and Training Scheme,
that all instructors must be registered and approved by the Regulator.
Instructors seeking recognition under the scheme must meet a minimum standard
of competency and demonstrate relevant experience in the Rescue and Recovery Industry before they can be considered for registration as authorised instructors.
To be registered, instructors must be fully trained and qualified to instructor level
in all the relevant modules they wish to be trainers.
The Regulator will issue the relevant identity card and status as
an approved instructor upon qualification. It is also a requirement that all registered instructors
must attend and pass refresher training, at present scheduled every 5 years. |
