To
become a certified professional of the Rescue and Recovery Industry
in the United Kingdom, it is now a requirement that all candidates
attend training sessions in approved centres around the country
with recognised and approved trainers. Candidates will demonstrate
their abilities and skills by undergoing examination on the 3 core
modules - VR1, VR2,
VR3
- set out as the minimum standard candidates
must meet before they can obtain certification and be able to work
on Britain's road network. Registration must be completed by April 2007.
The Regulator will issue the relevant certificate and identity card
to the candidates that have successfully completed the training
and pass the examinations. The candidates' names will be recorded
in the national register of approved operators along with all the
modules and qualifications the candidates have obtained.
